A driver tested positive for drugs after police smelled cannabis wafting from his car.
Police stopped a black BMW on the A1M near York at about 11.40pm yesterday (Sunday).
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Due to the smell of cannabis coming from inside, they carried out a roadside test on the man behind the wheel.
“He tested positive for cannabis, and was arrested on suspicion of drug driving.”
The 36-year-old man is in custody. Enquiries are ongoing.
