There’s not long left to nominate a hero for our YorkMix Hero Awards 2025.
We are once again teaming up with Yorkshire Profiles to celebrate our local heroes, and the countdown is on to send in your nominations.
There’s only eight days left to nominate someone you know in one of our Hero Award categories, before nominations close on Friday 23 May.
The YorkMix Hero Awards 2025 are kindly supported by Yorkshire Profiles – providers of quality assured metal fabrication at the heart of North Yorkshire.
This year, we have even more ways for you to nominate your hero! Fill in our nomination form here, or send us a voicenote or video to us on WhatsApp (01904 375030) or Facebook Messenger telling us who you would like to nominate and why.

This year’s categories are:
- Best Boss Award with Potions Cauldron Group
- Environmental Hero Award with YorWaste
- Volunteer of the Year with Craybakes
- Charity Fundraiser of the Year Award with Ate O’Clock Restaurant
- Outstanding Bravery Award with Middletons Hotel and Emperors Gym
- “In The Face of Adversity” Award with Water Babies
- Educator of the Year Award with Total Foodservice
- Incredible Child Award with York’s Chocolate Story
- Outstanding Talent Award with The Web Adventure Park
- Neighbour of the Year Award with Hayley Owen
- The Parent or Guardian of the Year Award with Mama Doreen’s Emporium
The final award, the Ultimate Hero Award, will be open for voting the night of the event. The lavish awards ceremony will take place at York Racecourse on Friday 20 June.
