Here’s why dancing sheep are coming to York

Dancing sheep are coming to York as part of the city’s Yorkshire Day celebrations.

York Bid are bringing Flock – a herd of baa-rmy dancing sheep – to York Minster’s piazza to celebrate Yorkshire Day.

Heidi, Henrietta, and their adorable lambs will be found dancing outside York Minster and through Goodramgate on Saturday 2 August from 12pm to 5pm.

The free event is set to be fun for all the family, with the opportunity to get up close and snap a selfie with the woolly visitors.

Carl Alsop, operations manager at York BID, said: “We’re so excited to celebrate Yorkshire Day in style with Flock.

“This immersive and entertaining experience is a fantastic way to draw people into the city centre and create joyful experiences for residents and visitors.”
