Driver airlifted to hospital after crash near Selby

Two people were hurt in a collision near Selby last night.

It happened on the A63 at Cliffe.

Two vehicles were involved. Police, ambulance and fire crews from York and Selby attended, and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance was also called out.

Both drivers were trapped. Fire crews cut them free using hydraulic cutting gear and stabilisation equipment.

The driver of one vehicle was taken to hospital by air ambulance and the other was taken to hospital by road ambulance
