There are delays on a stretch of the A59 between York and Skipton.
Sgt Paul Cording of North Yorkshire Police says a 2 vehicle collision at the junction with the B6451 near Menwith Hill is causing problems.
A contraflow in place until the vehicles are recovered. There are no reports of serious injuries at the moment.
UPDATE: The road is now clear.
