Police have cracked down on motoring offences in York.
One car was stopped for a “moving traffic offence” – and then seized as the driver had no insurance.
North Yorkshire Police said last night (Sunday): “Following complaints from local residents about traffic offences around the city of York, your local Neighbourhood Policing Team have taken positive action this evening to make our roads safer.
“During tonight’s patrol, officers stopped a vehicle for a moving traffic offence and seized it for having no insurance.
“While dealing with that incident, officers continued their proactive work, stopping and dealing with 20 additional drivers for moving traffic offences.
“We’re committed to keeping York’s roads safe for everyone.”
