A ‘Hop-on Hop-off’ sightseeing broke down on Tower Street earlier today (Friday), causing delays in York city centre.
The bus has now been cleared and traffic is moving as normal.
The Golden Tour’s bus came to a stop just before the Skeldergate Bridge roundabout, and no vehicles are able to get past.

The breakdown led to congestion along the entire length of Tower Street, with traffic backing up onto Low Ousegate and across Ouse Bridge.
Police officers were at the scene directing traffic and assisting drivers.
