Boy, 11, left with a cut face after being attacked by youths in Selby

An 11-year-old boy who was fishing with a friend in Selby was attacked by three youths.

It happened around 4pm to 4.30pm on Sunday, 15 June at Selby beck.

He was approached by the youths, aged around 13, and assaulted, leaving a cut to his face.

They did not have local accents, and may have spoken with a Merseyside accent.

The first suspect is described as having blond hair in a flat style, was around 5ft tall and was wearing a blue T-shirt.

The second is described as also having blond hair swept to the side, freckles and was also 5ft tall. He was wearing a pink T-shirt and black jogging trousers.

The third is described as having short dark hair with lighter patches and was wearing a white T-shirt.

Police are asking anyone with information or video footage to contact them.
