A biker died in a collision in North Yorkshire last night (Tuesday).
It happened on the A169 Blue Bank at Sleights south of Whitby shortly after 6pm.
A red Honda CBR 650, travelling southbound, crashed. The sole rider – a man in his twenties from the Whitby area – suffered serious injuries and died at the scene.

No other vehicle was involved.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We would like to thank the members of the public who assisted at the scene.”
The road was closed until around 2am to allow for collision investigation.
Police are asking anyone who saw the red motorcycle, which is believed to have travelled from the Whitby area, witnessed the collision, or have any relevant dashcam footage to get in touch.
