An 18-year-old man has been arrested following a robbery in York.
Just before 7pm on Monday 14 July, a member of the public reported seeing three male suspects assault a male victim on the path to St Barnabas Church, on Jubilee Terrace.
The three suspects ran off into a nearby housing estate with the victims rucksack, before throwing it into a garden.
Police responded immediately and arrested an 18-year-old man nearby on suspicion of robbery.
The teenage victim suffered a broken nose, along with cuts and bruises to his face.
The stolen rucksack was later spotted by another member of the public and has been returned to the victim.
North Yorkshire Police are now appealing for any witnesses who saw the incident, or the immediate aftermath.
