York stabbing suspect still at large as victim remains in hospital

Police believe their main suspect in a stabbing case is still in York, more than three days after the incident.

Tonight (Tuesday) officers renewed their appeal to find Brandon Oliver.

And they warned that anyone who is harbouring Oliver, or has been helping him to evade the police in any other way, faces arrest.

Cornlands Road, York

The victim, who suffered a serious stab wound to his leg, remains in hospital.

He was attacked in a property in Cornlands Road at about midday on Saturday.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The suspect and the victim know each other.

“We are not aware of any threats to the wider public, but we strongly advise people not to approach the suspect if they see him.”

Anyone with an immediate sighting of Oliver is asked to call 999.

Brandon Oliver, who’s 25, is described as

  • white
  • bald
  • with stubble, and
  • of medium build.

He was last seen wearing a full grey tracksuit – possibly Nike – and black trainers.
