A woman is fighting for her life following a serious crash near Castle Howard.
The incident involved a red Renault Kangoo van, which collided with a pedestrian.
It happened on Monday (9 December) at around 1.30pm, on Castle Howard Station Road, Welburn.
Location
The pedestrian, a 69 year-old-woman, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Leeds General Infirmary via air ambulance.
She currently remains at Leeds General Infirmary in a critical condition.
The driver of the van is currently assisting police with their enquiries whilst the investigation continues.
North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed the incident to get in touch.
