Violent assault in the city centre leaves victim with serious injuries

A man and women were repeatedly assaulted in York earlier this month.

The man was left with significant injuries, including black eyes and a broken nose. 

The incident occurred at the Duncombe Place taxi rank, between 4:00 am and 4:30 am on Wednesday 6 November.

The suspects initially met the victims and another female at The Drawing Board bar, and followed the victims to Duncombe Place where the assault occurred.

One of the men is described as being in his late 20s to early 40s, with blonde hair with a receding hairline. 

He is described as short, with a larger build, and was wearing a leather jacket resembling a bar uniform.

The second man is described as being in his late 20s to early 40s, tall, with a beard, glasses, and light brown hair with a receding hairline.
