A van was set on fire next to a main York road last night (Sunday).
Emergency services were called to the incident on the A19 at Skelton at 7.48pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from Easingwold responded to calls about a van that had been set on fire at the side of the road.

“The fire was believed to be done deliberately due to accelerants being found on scene.
“The crew extinguished the fire using two hose reel jets, two breathing apparatus, lighting, and a thermal imaging camera.”
