Two people have been arrested by police investigating a string of crimes in Tadcaster.
It followed multiple reports of attempted break-ins to both vehicles and properties in the east of the town.
Officers investigating the incidents discovered a trail of blood at one of the break-in locations.
Kelcbar Close, Tadcaster
This led them to the Kelcbar Close area of Tadcaster, where a 22-year-old man and 27-year-old woman were arrested, in connection with theft from a motor vehicle and criminal damage.
They remain in custody for questioning.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We’re appealing to residents in the area to check their properties and vehicles.
“If you notice any signs of interference or have information or CCTV footage that could assist our investigation, please get in touch.”
