Thieves steal belongings worth £12K after ransacking York home

Thieves have ransacked a York home and stolen £12,000 worth of belongings.

The incident happened on Newland Park Drive, between 11.30am and 11.30pm on Tuesday (18 February).

At some point during the 12 hour window, thieves gained entry to the home by breaking the rear door.

Officers are appealing for information on the burglary.

North Yorkshire Police have asked anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area, heard unusual noises, or have any CCTV or dash-cam footage to get in touch.
