Spark York celebrates Pride with a month of events – including drag quiz night

Spark York are hosting a series of special events to mark Pride month.

The unique venue on Piccadilly are celebrating Pride month with a series of events throughout June – including a quiz with a York drag legend, an artisan market, and a showcase of emerging LGBTQ+ talent.

Spark will also be opening their doors early at 9am on Saturday 1 June, the day of York Pride, to give people a space to get parade-ready, a free sign-making and spray paint station, and some street food traders serving up earlier too.

In the evening, guests can visit Spark to get their face painted in a rainbow-inspired design for free by Face Paint York.

“These events are by LGBTQ+ people, for LGBTQ+ people and of course anyone else who wants to join the fun, ensuring an authentic and inclusive celebration that everyone can enjoy.”

York Pride wristband holders can also enjoy exclusive discounts at selected vendors at Spark throughout 2024.
