A serious crash closed a road near York this morning (Sunday).
It’s north of York on the road between Strensall and Sheriff Hutton.
At 12.36am, North Yorkshire Police reported: “We’re currently at the scene of a serious collision on the Strensall to Sheriff Hutton Road, near to the turn-off for West Lilling.

“The road is closed in both directions between the junction of Lilling Back Lane and Lilling Low Lane and is expected to remain closed for some time.
“Please avoid the area and use alternative routes to allow emergency services to respond.”
The police haven’t issued an update, but it appears that the road has reopened.
