The lucrative – and risky – nature of drug dealing was brought home during a police operation in York.
This weekend, officers targeted a man suspected of bring drugs into the city and supplying local dealers.
During the operation, officers searched two vehicles, seizing drugs, cash, and mobile phones.
Following that success, police targeted a number of addresses in Leeds.
Inside a safe they found £38,000 in cash, keys to additional vehicles, and two small gold bullion bars.
Drugs, phones and another vehicle were also seized.

A 22-year-old man from Leeds and a 19-year-old woman from Harrogate were arrested in connection with drug-related offences.
The man has been charged, remanded in custody, and is due to appear in court today (Tuesday). The woman has been released on bail as the investigation continues.
North Yorkshire Police gave a “special shoutout goes to police dog Molly and her handler.
“PD Molly’s incredible sense of smell led officers to a hidden stash of drugs inside a vehicle. She was rewarded with her favourite ball for her excellent work.”
They urged anyone with information about suspected drugs activity to contact them via the website or by calling 101.
