Crews went to a report of a fire in York last night – only to find it was a hoax.
They were called to a home in York at 1.12am.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews from Acomb and York responded to a report of a kitchen fire within a domestic premises.
“This was a malicious call as no fire was found at the address. All details were passed over to police to investigate.”
