A pan of oil caught fire at a home in York.
Fire crews from York and Acomb responded to reports of the fire at 2:48 pm today (Saturday).
Prior to the firefighters arrival, the pan had been removed from the hob and the fire extinguished.
A North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said:
“Crews carried out an inspection only, and gave advice to the occupier.”
