One person was rescued by firefighters at a house fire in York today (Thursday).
Crews from York and Acomb were called to the incident, on Garfield Terrace, at 1.39pm.
The fire was in the kitchen. The resident rescued by crews was handed over to the care of paramedics.

Firefighters put out the fire and ventilated the property. It caused 25% fire damage and 45% smoke damage to the kitchen.
