North Yorkshire fire fighters yesterday forced their way into a home to rescue a resident from a fire.
Richmond, Darlington and Bedale fire crews responded to the fire at around 9:04pm yesterday, at a property close to Scotch Corner.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said, “The first crew on scene forced entry due to smoke in property and concern for the occupant.”
The resident was located inside and then lead to safety.
They were treated by paramedics and luckily did not sustain any serious injuries.
The cause of the fire was due to food left unattended in the oven.
