Man with bad teeth spat at two 19-year-old women on York bridge

Police are investigating after a man spat at two young women in York.

The assault happened last Wednesday (12 February) at 9.15pm.

Two 19-year-old women were walking over the pedestrian bridge over the River Foss near Palmer Lane and Carmelite Street when it happened.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “An unknown male has spat directly at two females, landing on them.

“Police are seeking any information, witnesses and any CCTV/video footage.”

The man is described as:

  • white
  • around 6ft tall
  • of skinny build
  • aged mid 20s
  • light or short hair or bald
  • with a Yorkshire accent
  • a large nose
  • gappy/bad teeth
  • with a distinctive swaying walk.

He was wearing a grey puffer jacket, black joggers and black trainers.
