A man has died near a Scarborough bridge, police confirmed this afternoon (Wednesday).
As YorkMix reported earlier, the Spa Bridge was closed and cordoned off this morning.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Police were sadly called at around 5.30am on Wednesday 23 July to the sudden death of a man near to Spa Bridge in Scarborough.
Officers do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and a report will now be prepared for the coroner.
