A 60-year-old man has died following a serious collision on York Road in Sutton-on-the-Forest.
The incident occurred yesterday (Thursday 31 July) at approximately 11am, when a white DAF tanker goods vehicle collided with a grey Vauxhall Mokka.
Tragically, the driver of the Mokka was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed.
Location
The road was closed for several hours while emergency services investigated the scene and recovered the vehicles involved.
North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage to come forward. A spokesperson said:
“We’re appealing for any witnesses to the collision, anyone who may have seen the vehicles prior to the collision, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to contact us.
