Police who launched a major search for a missing North Yorkshire girl say she’s been found
The 14-year-old was reported missing from her home in Thixendale, south of Malton, at 7.45pm yesterday (Thursday).
She had not been seen since around 2pm and police were concerned for her safety.
Ground searches and air searches using a police helicopter took place overnight and today.
Shortly after 2.30pm, North Yorkshire Police issued this update: “The 14-year-old girl from the Malton area we’ve been searching for has been found.
“Thank you to everyone who shared today’s appeal.”
