Rodents were blamed for a fire a York home last night (Saturday).
York and Acomb firefighters went to reports of a fire in a living room in Fulford at 10.31pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews inspected the living room using a thermal imagine camera and small tools, and found a small amount of smouldering under the floorboards that had been caused by rodents chewing through wiring.
“The crew gave advice to the occupants.”
