Ghosts in the Gardens will return from Friday 19 September to Sunday 2 November, bringing 60 hauntingly beautiful sculptures to locations across the city.
Created in collaboration with York-based studio Unconventional Design, the delicate wire-mesh figures—depicting everything from monks to soldiers—capture different echoes of the city’s storied, and often ghostly, past.
The trail is free to explore. To begin your journey, pick up a map from the Visitor Information Centre on Parliament Street.
