Firefighters used a StabFast and ratchet straps to stabilise the vehicle in the ditch, before assisting the driver to the nearby road ambulance for treatment.

The occupants from the second vehicle were uninjured, and had already made their way out of their vehicle prior to the crews arrival.

A North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said:

“After crews made the vehicles safe, the incident was left with police.”
