Emergency services called to a head injury

Firefighters and paramedics were called to a street in York after someone collapsed and hit their head.

The call to North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service came in at 6:44pm yesterday (Wednesday) and the crew attended the Acomb address.

They assisted the person with the head wound, using their immediate emergency care pack and taking observations until an ambulance arrived at the scene.

A service spokesperson said: “Paramedics then took over the care of the casualty.”
