The AA has long been known as a guide to some of the best restaurants and hotels in Britain.
Now it has started rating spas too. And no fewer than three North Yorkshire venues have made it into the AA Best UK Spas awards.
“Following a careful selection process, the AA inspectors have identified the best spa experiences across the country,” a spokeperson said.
“Hotels with an AA Best UK Spas stand out as exceptional and exemplary spa delivering outstanding wellness experiences.”
Across the country 45 spas were selected for the awards. Here are the three from our county that made the cut.
Rudding Park, Harrogate
What the website says: “Rudding Park Spa is for all occasions. The Roof Top Spa is a social space with a range of hydrotherapy & thermal experiences and the Escape Zone, a peaceful, serene space for guests having a treatment. Guests can also maintain their beauty routine in the Nail & Beauty Studio, eat, drink & shop.”
Swinton Park, Masham
What the website says: “A fabulously light, airy, contemporary spa space, designed to reflect the surrounding, natural environment. A place to recharge the body, mind and spirit and restore a sense of ‘grounding’ and calm. Beautiful indoor pools, outdoor ‘natural’ pool, ‘wild swimming’ in the grounds, thermal experiences and Spa Gardens.”
Grantley Hall, Ripon
