The road has now been cleared, following a collision on the A1237 this morning (Friday).
There were reportedly four vehicles involved in the incident, which occurred just outside the Wetherby Whaler, between B1224 Wetherby Road and Great North Way.
Emergency services attended at the scene, and traffic was diverted into a single lane.

Drivers were advised to expect delays and seek alternative routes if possible.
AA Traffic News have stated: “Delays of nine minutes and delays increasing on A1237 Eastbound between B1224 Wetherby Road and Great North Way. Average speed ten mph.”
